Fox News Names New Weekend Show Host

Fox News has shuffled the deck on their talent and programming since the firing of Tucker Carlson last April.

On Wednesday, the network announced that radio host Jimmy Failla will host a new weekend show, “Fox News Saturday Night with Jimmy Failla.”

Announcing the new show was Meade Cooper, the Executive Vice President of Primetime Programming for Fox. She referred to Fallia as “a classic American success story,” noting that the former cab driver had worked his way up to a notable cable news host.

A Fox News press release stated the new program will premiere on Saturday, Jan. 13, and air weekly between 10-11 p.m.

Soon after the details were finalized, Failla celebrated the news in a post on X:

“THRILLED to announce this former cabbie has been named The HOST of ‘Fox News Saturday Night w/ Jimmy Failla.’ HUGE thanks to Fox leadership for believing in a small-town gal like me. Group hug w/ everyone who forgives my Tweets from the bar later. We are going OUT TONIGHT girl!”

The radio host is expected to couple hard news with a dash of humor. Fallia’s press release noted  the new show will “keep America laughing with a break from the hard news stories of the week.”

Fallia promised to “deliver comedic commentary on cultural, political, and lifestyle topics.”

Fallia currently hosts the “Fox Across America” radio show. That show will continue to air in the 12-4 pm timeslot.

The former taxi driver first joined the Fox network in 2016. His radio show debuted in March 2020.
