Rep. Chip Roy Unveils Bill Allowing Americans To Sue COVID-19 Vaccine Makers — See If That Includes You

Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) is sponsoring a new bill providing new support and remedies to individuals who have suffered adverse effects due to taking a COVID-19 vaccine.

The bill would allow American citizens to sue vaccine makers for improper testing of their products and ongoing promotion of products despite knowing possible adverse impacts.

The bill is titled The Let Injured Americans Be Legally Empowered (LIABLE) Act. According to Roy, the bill is “aimed at wiping away COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers’ statutory protections.”

Currently, manufacturers and health care providers cannot be held responsible for distributing, advocating or administering COVID-19 vaccines, even when medical testing makes clear a patient suffered vaccine-related injuries.

The current shield of protection stems from the 2005 Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act, which “limits liability for the manufacturing, development, and distribution of medical countermeasures related to a public health emergency.”

Due to public outcry, a Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP) was created to assist those suffering adverse reactions to COVID vaccines. However, according to Roy, the CICP has compensated just 11 people despite thousands of claims being lodged. The average payout is reportedly less than $3,000.

The bill would make pharmaceutical companies vulnerable to civil lawsuits.

Fox News Digital reported: “The LIABLE Act will allow Americans who took vaccines that were misleadingly promoted and forced onto many Americans via federal mandates to pursue civil litigation for their injuries. These vaccines were given emergency use authorization unilaterally and did not go through the normal FDA approval process.”

Roy told Fox: “Millions of Americans were forced to take a COVID-19 shot out of fear of losing their livelihoods and under false pretenses. Many have faced injury from the vaccine, but few have been afforded … recourse. To date, a mere 11 injury claims have been paid out despite nearly 700 million doses of the vaccine having been administered.”

Many have claimed COVID-19 vaccines are linked to heart problems, blood clots, strokes and even sudden death.
