James Comer Reveals He ‘Quit’ Going On Fox News Show Because of Steve Doocy

Fox News has experienced significant change in the last seven months. From firing Tucker Carlson and more than a dozen connected with his #1 show, to new programming and hosts, Fox News is a different platform than it was a year ago.

The change is not lost on House Oversite Committee Chairman James Comer, who recently told Eric Bolling of Newsmax that he will no longer appear as a guest on the Fox News network.

Reportedly, Comer has taken particular issue with Fox host Steve Doocy, who this week argued that Republicans are not justified in moving forward with impeachment proceedings against President Joe Biden.

Doocy argued: “They’ve connected the dots, the Department of Justice did on Hunter, but [Republicans] have not shown where Joe Biden, you know, did anything illegally.”

Comer shared his comments during an interview with Bolling. As they discussed the impending vote to move forward with impeachment proceedings, Bolling pointed out that several traditionally conservative media outlets were pushing back.

“Forget the Democrats like Dan Goldman who say there’s no evidence,” said Bolling. “My concern is when the media, especially the conservative media, starts siding with the Bidens. Listen to Steve Doocy over at Fox saying you don’t have evidence.”

Comer maintains there is overwhelming evidence suggesting President Joe Biden was involved in illegal activity and was involved in Hunter Biden’s international business dealings, though he has publicly denied this on multiple occasions.

Comer told Bolling: “Well, I think we’ve done a pretty good job connecting the dots,” Comer said. “We’ve traced two checks from influence peddling schemes going directly into Joe Biden’s pocket.”

Bolling asked: “Why would Doocy say, after all the work you’ve done, that you have nothing?”

Comer argued that Doocy has not been objective on the matter: “He’s had that position from the very beginning. I’ve quit going on Fox & Friends because of Doocy, you know? I mean, he’s the one guy on Fox that’s been very critical of the investigation.”

Comer added: “I have my theory why, and we’ll talk about that at a later point, but at the end of the day, he’s entitled to his opinion, but I don’t think the average viewer of Fox News agrees with Doocy one bit.”

House leaders have scheduled a Wednesday vote on whether or not to move forward with impeachment proceedings.

Republicans argue that the Department of Justice has not followed normal operating procedure in investigating the matter, and that bank, FBI, and IRS whistleblower statements show Joe Biden to be guilty of criminal activity.

Democrats have prepared a “Fact Sheet” disputing allegations.
